Everyday Next publishes practical guidance about everyday technology, useful apps, learning, personal systems, family life, and money tools. This policy explains how we research, write, review, update, and correct our content.
Our editorial purpose
We publish to help readers make clearer everyday decisions. An article should answer a real question, explain meaningful trade-offs, and leave the reader with practical next steps. We do not publish solely to target a trending keyword or fill a content category.
Authorship and accountability
Every published article has a named WordPress author who is accountable for its presentation. Everyday Next is owned and edited by Faris Al-Haj, a Canadian consultant with more than 20 years of experience in information technology, business analysis, IT service management, and public-sector consulting.
Author experience is not a substitute for specialist credentials. When a topic falls outside an author’s professional expertise, the article must rely on authoritative evidence, clearly identify its limitations, and avoid presenting general information as personalized professional advice.
Research and sourcing standards
- Primary sources first: We prefer government agencies, regulators, universities, peer-reviewed research, official product documentation, and original company disclosures.
- Current information: Pricing, product features, laws, benefits, and statistics are checked against current sources when an article is published or materially updated.
- Clear attribution: Factual claims that are not common knowledge should link to the source that supports them.
- Independent explanation: Sources inform our work, but articles should add original organization, analysis, examples, comparisons, or decision guidance.
- Uncertainty: Forecasts, estimates, and unresolved claims must be identified as such rather than presented as established fact.
Financial, health, and other high-impact topics
Financial and health information can materially affect a reader’s well-being. These articles receive additional scrutiny for accuracy, current sourcing, risk explanations, and balanced presentation. Everyday Next does not provide individualized medical, legal, tax, or investment advice. Readers should consult an appropriately qualified professional before making consequential decisions.
Product comparisons and recommendations
We explain how products were selected and what criteria were considered. We distinguish between hands-on testing, editorial evaluation based on documented features, and research based on official information and credible third-party evidence. We do not claim that a product was personally tested when it was not.
Prices and features change. Articles display their review date where practical, and readers should confirm final terms directly with the provider.
Use of AI-assisted tools
Everyday Next may use AI-assisted tools to support research organization, outlines, editing, data analysis, or draft development. AI output is not treated as a factual source. Material facts should be checked against reliable sources, and published content remains subject to editorial review. We aim to disclose automation when a reasonable reader would consider the production method important to evaluating the work.
Advertising and commercial independence
Advertising supports the site, but advertisers do not control our editorial conclusions. Sponsored or affiliate relationships should be disclosed where applicable. A commercial relationship does not guarantee favourable coverage.
Updates and dates
We change an article’s “updated” date only after a meaningful review or revision. Correcting a typo or changing formatting does not justify presenting an article as newly updated. Older articles are reviewed based on traffic, subject sensitivity, factual change, and reader value.
